A day off

Because of the tides, the lighthouse was closed to tours, and we had the day off. We had breakfast in Brookings at Mattie's first of all.
, After buying fuel at Fred Meyers (oh, and some groceries), Cary stopped at the quilt store here. Andrea, if you are reading this--I got four packages of Texture Magic--only $4 each! I also bought some material for future projects.

A 1951 Ford Panel truck and our car picture of the day.

Taken from the Oregon welcome center just across the border from California on our drive back to Crescent City

Lilies! This area, Smith River, is known for its Easter lilies. We don't usually catch them in bloom, but we lucked out this year.

I am not really sure who these senior citizens are who got in front of the camera while I was shooting the scenery...but I am putting their picture here anyway!
