Las Cruces, Day Two

It's Saturday, so yard sales! This was one of the places, very pretty and the weather was still perfect.

These two images are from a yard across the street from another sale. Both tributes to Harry Potter, very cool.

My yard sale purchases: five for $1 paperback mysteries, various sewing supplies for $2.

This Ural motorcyle is Russian. It is parked in an RV spot here, haven't seen the owner.

and the other extreme, this beautiful truck that caught Cary's attention.

Cary got a stack of New Mexico magazines from a free box at one of the yard sales. This ad was in a 2005 issue. The friend we are visiting in La Luz opened this shop, made lots of lamps and shades before selling the business.

Of course I had to visit the fabric store. Saw this cute bench cushion with a Christmas neighborhood design, embroidery, decorative trim and buttons. There is no way I could do this, even with the kit that was sold there, but I might be able to do something similar on a smaller cushion.

We decided that Mexican food two nights in a row may be too much; we ate at this Denny's for an early supper, stopped at an Albertson's for some Baskin Robbins' for some Jamoca almond fudge ice cream.
