Here's Cary putting in his coat, the last item to get packed before we take off for Wisconsin. Our first stop will be in Alamogordo to visit Wally and Patty.
I took some pictures with my phone--Patty has a great garden and just got some new chickens which she is keeping in the bathtub with lights till they are old enough to be out in the yard and be productive.
That is the only picture I took at their house. Patty made veggie burgers, turkey burgers, regular hamburgers, potato salad, cabbage salad and fruit salad, with a rhubarb cake for dessert--rhubarb from the garden. A couple from Perth, Australia were there too, in their rented motor home. He and Wally met at Bonneville several years ago. Very interesting to discuss politics, medicine, rules about animals, guns, etc. with them.
We are now at a cute motel in Alamogordo, the White Sands. It actually uses a key rather than a card. There is no wasted space in it at all. Good thing we like each other. Cary has already turned out the lights on his side of the bed. We took turns driving, but he did do most of it. Breakfast is in Room 2 of the motel between 7 and 9:00 a.m.
