Because Karen forgot to give us a few items for the lighthouse, we went by the museum again first thing before heading out there: some "monsoon" flags and things for the gift store. Visitors arrived nonstop, even after our hours for being open. A great crowd (the kids are always fun), even a woman who had gone to school with my brother, Keith, and had had my dad for a teacher in 8th grade history! But we let people in too long, so we got wet crossing back over into the parking lot, so I know the folks in tower part of the tour were really having a precarious time of it after we left! Friday will be different. When the hours say 10-12, we will leave by 12:10 at the latest. My balance on the rocks is not that great. This was our view after crossing over the water.
After going back to the trailer, changing jeans and shoes and socks, and putting them out to dry...
we went to the Chart Room for lunch. I think almost everyone else in town had the same idea. But it was very good. We did not need any supper and I enjoyed getting out and walking with other ladies in the park at 6:30.
Our view from the restaurant, harbor seals on the dock below
Next time I will take pictures with my camera; this is looking toward the lighthouse from the parking lot of the Chart Room.
