Today is all about vehicles!

We drove to the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles. Originally this building was a buggy and wagon factory.

I took lots of pictures, but am only posting a few.

These were called "high rides," and were quite the fad in the day. They were also fairly dangerous (and sure look uncomfortable). Later bikes with tires of equal size were called "safety bikes.

The Reading Standard, an early example of a motorcycle with a side car

This is for Wally. Read the sign that follows.

The Dile was named for the two guys who created it; they used the first two letters in each of their last names. I have forgotten what they were.

This is actually called an Autocar. Cary is looking at the engine under the seat.

The sign above describes the stainless steel truck below.

This is a gorgeous Chrysler Town and Country.

This was actually an operating diner in the area until recently. It was moved and refurbished and may eventually reopen as a diner again, within this museum.

And for the librarian, even a book mobile!

I am thrilled that this turned out. I took two shots, then photostitched them! I can't always line up the two pictures, so this was a real accomplishment.

What would a day at a car museum be without lunch at a diner. Another diner! We had the pumpkin bisque (delicious) and a sandwich.

Before returning to the trailer for the afternoon, we had to check out Zern's . It is a combination Farmers' Market and indoor swap meet. I wish I had more refrigerator space for all the great and reasonably priced produce I saw. I settled for grapes, spinach and baby carrots.
