Great day afterall--not that I am surprised!

After a small rain delay (in which Sheila and I put our heads together and solved a 2-day -old NY Times crossword puzzle), we went out to see what we could find in Silverton. Here is a 50s Dodge pilot house cab, someone's project. And, yes, I had to ask Cary to give me the info!

Cary was in hog heaven with this sale--a man cave full of "quality, American-made tools, neon signs, and lots of other great stuff." He didn't find anything that he didn't already have.

Two years ago this was a functioning hot rod shop and gas station. It now is for sale, looks as if someone just locked the doors and walked away; there are many tools and accessories still in it.

Across the street from one of the yard sales was this '67 RS Camaro, tucked away sort of out of the weather, very nice.

Cary prowls another fun sale.

He came back for the camera to take this shot. The red car is vintage, priced at $225.

Jericho was keeping watch at one of the sales and doing a darned good job of it too!

On our way home we passed this tiny Farmers' market where I purchased green beans and Sheila bought raspberries. The refrigerator in the trailer will only hold so much!

One of our favorite parts of visiting in Salem is seeing our longtime friends, Ginger and Mark. We taught with Ginger at Chaparral. We discovered she and Sheila share a birthday, a wedding anniversary, and even ordered the same meal at the Olive Garden tonight!

When I got back to the trailer I took a brisk walk, guaranteed to burn off maybe half a breadstick...I hope! Max, if you read this, tell Valerie I did a few planks on Friday too. Not enough, but better than nothing!
