Yard Sale Saturday

Unfortunately my friend Susan wasn't feeling well this morning, so we drove around and searched for yard sales on our own. This sale is where I spent the most money--got a bag of zippers, three jars of buttons, a pattern and lots of miscellaneous sewing notions all for a donation of $5.

Cary snapped a shot of me at this sale; I think this is where I got some sort of sewing notion given out by the Singer Company to commemorate their 100th anniversary in 1951. I am trying to figure out what it is, then I will post a picture and explanation!

The Packard Clipper is what caught Cary's eye, but the family here was having a huge estate sale. Avon by the boxloads, and lots of other stuff in two garages and the house. I came away empty handed, but I certainly tried!

Some of the treasures at the sale....

Just one of the many rooms filled with stuff! The guy had some great hubcaps Cary was interested in, but he (the guy) knew what they were and wasn't going to part with them for a song!
