Visiting the Lighthouse

Look carefully. This is what we saw as we approached the lighthouse about 10:15 a.m. Still foggy. I think if you try hard you can see the light. We just took a short tour; the folks were glad to see us (the keepers remembered us from last year), and, of all things, the RVers who will be helping out this month are from Oro Valley, not that far from us in Tucson!

After our tour, the fog had lifted and we enjoyed the great view of the ocean.

We really like this place!

I tried to catch the flag in honor of the country's birthday tomorrow, but the wind caught it as I snapped the shutter.

We drove up to Brookings, OR, for some cheaper fuel and some shopping at Fred Meyer's. This cute '34 International was parked by the quilt store (it was closed).

The driver of the truck may be the owner of the quilt shop. She was just coming out of it, so we caught it just in time for a photo. She really didn't seem to have the time or inclination to talk about it.
