We pulled into Chiraco Summit for lunch and while I was preparing Cary's sandwich, he found this car museum (to be) and took pictures. So it is his turn to write about what he saw.
This old gas station, built in 1955, had a sign in front calling it the classic car museum. You know me, I had to check it out. The office was filled with signs, pictures, mags, and manuals. The bay had a '40's Cadillac, and period correct tools. Behind this they had put up a gigantic steel bulding that will become the new museum. A young man named Victor showed me around and answered all my questions. He grew up here, went to high school 27 miles away in Indio, and lives in the trailer park behind the museum.
We made it to Tonapah, Arizona and the Saddle Mountain RV Park. Home in Tucson tomorrow.
