Our Stay in Corning

We made the best of it our first night here at Rolling Hills Casino RV Park, ate at the buffet.

Sat around all day Sunday, reading and doing some housework. I thought this would be the perfect time to cut out all the little shapes I need for the purse I plan to make--bought the fabric in Brookings--but couldn't find the pattern (I really hope it is back in Tucson and not just buried somewhere deeper in the trailer).

We are quite frustrated with our Good Sam Roadside Assistance. They paid for us to go to the nearest truck repair facility, two and one half miles away--a Ford dealer. We called to verify and sure enough, they do not have Dodge parts, so we had to pay $100 to have L and T towing take us to the Dodge dealer in Red Bluff, the difference in mileage between the 2.5 miles and the Dodge dealer. Ugh. Makes no sense. Strangely enough, the tow truck came from a town 25 miles from where we are!

Oh, do you notice the silver duct tape decorating the back of the truck?

Of course when we got to the dealer, there was no part available; one had to be ordered from Portland. A call to Jim Click in Tucson wass more frustration; it was determined the whole piece was installed incorrectly there. Again, no one wants to take the responsibility!
We hitched a ride with Shawn in the courtesy PT Cruiser, will get another ride back in the morning. We sure hope to be in Patterson tomorrow night.
