It is usually very windy in Florence--Thursday was no exception, so we spent the morning going to thrift stores and came across this Nomad parked in Old Town. We came home with a few treasures too!
It had been quite awhile since we prowled the antique stores on the highway, so we decided it was time. Nothing we had to have, but everything was very interesting.
Friday and Saturday were good yard sale days, both relatively wind-free all morning. We did wake up to fog on Saturday, but it didn't last.
This used to be Bliss Hot Rod Restaurant, with old cars on the roof and even a car or two you could sit in inside when you ate! Someone told Cary the cars were taken away in the night. Another restaurant is coming in: Ichiban is moving from down the street.
We had been seeing MGs driving around ever since we got to town. Cary finally was able to talk to one driver who told us there was a show. Very nice. Even a great old Jaguar and two Austin Healeys.
Cary had to investigate this little Landrover truck in the parking lot next to the car show. Cute.
Our next stop was Mo's where we bought a quart of clam chowder base, which we took back to the trailer to mix with milk and have for lunch. There is enough for tomorrow too. Yum!
