Another Day Off

We hoped for some blue skies, but it actually rained--either during the night or early morning! However, that did not stop us from heading out to the yard sales.

The guy who has this 1952 Cadillac in his garage had lots of items the Pickers (from TV) might be interested in! What a shame that this and the car in the following picture are just sitting here, not driven.

A 1935 Plymouth coupe, his brother's car, has been stored here 15 years!

For Sheila, this hen had escaped her coop. The family cat kept its distance--the hen picks on it!

Around the corner from the hen, was the old movie theater, due to be demolished for a storage facility. I took a picture of it one of the other times we were here.

The redwoods are gorgeous, one of our favorite things about this part of the country. We drove this narrow road to another yard sale. Shown below.

We managed to limit our total expenditure to $3.75. I found some fabric and a sweatshirt. Cary spent a quarter on a magazine celebrating 100 years of Walgreen's, mainly for the pictures of the old cars!

Next was the farmers' market where, I believe, one of the rare times that Cary passed up any of the treats at the bakery truck. We were teased with a patch of blue sky and sunshine, but clouds and cold ruled the day.
