Yay

When we got back to the trailer after lunch I turned on the computer only to see a blue screen with a swirly and the words, "shutting down." That was 12:30 or so and it went on until nearly 4:00. At that point I went down to the park office (needed quarters anyway, since Sheila isn't around to find them for me) and asked if she knew of a computer service in town. She called Linda, the woman who used to work there on weekends--she recommended a place called Chuck's PC, which is just around the corner from the park.

I explained the problem to the guy there (maybe he is Chuck), and opened the computer to show him. He turned the computer over, took out the battery, put it back in, pushed two keys on the keyboard to shut down anything that might be running (not sure which two--F2 may have been one of them...I will do some research), turned it on so I could put in the password--and all is well. He said something about Windows 10 having more requirements than my Windows 7, which could be causing the problem. At any rate, for now, the computer is working and everyone in the trailer is happy too! Oh, and no charge! I plan to put up a sign in the laundry room recommending the place.

I wonder if he could fix the sewing machine....

My only picture of the day is of a cute Retro Jr. parked down by the laundry room and showers as we were leaving for work today.

If you need to see what the city and lighthouse looked like today, refer to other pics on the blog. It was deja vu all over again! We had a great group of visitors and were able to cross without getting our feet wet at all.
