We had a nice dinner at Olive Garden. Cary had been craving Seafood Alfredo after watching the commercials all summer! I wish we could have spent more time together on this visit, but I have hopes that she will come to Tucson soon.
After we left Coos Bay and North Bend our camp site was in Central Point, Oregon. It really was a beautiful park. I hope I can get the right pictures into this!
A Retro (that is the brand) trailer--very cute!Someone had fun building this tiny village!
About 1:30 a.m. I was awakened by thunder and heavy rain; it went on until after 5:30. Luckily we did not have to get ready to leave in the rain. Here is Cary checking the temperature of the tires before we head out.
Some scenery along the way to Likely, California.
This might actually be in the Likely RV and Golf Resort. Very pretty, no wifi and no tv. So Cary missed the opening game of the Packers and Bears. I was able to check the score on my phone though.
Today (I am back to September 6 now) we had a pretty nice drive again getting to Carson City. I did put the wrong address into the GPS (North, instead of South Carson), but some state workers came by and helped us out!
We did have one particularly bumpy ride: witness these open kitchen drawers and overturned trash can!
The football players from this high school were on their way to Klamath Falls for the game tonight! That is a long drive and then to play and turn around and go home. Love the name! I was so glad to get into the restroom here before all the cheerleaders disembarked the bus!
I don't know if you can tell, but this haze is smoke. Apparently there was a fire around Red Bluff. Luckily we didn't have to drive too far to be out of it.
I did put the wrong address in our GPS for the Comstock RV Park, but thanks to some Nevada State workers who came by when we were at the wrong place, we got some good directions and all was well!
I think I am now caught up. Tomorrow's destination is Lone Pine.
