Before we left Lone Pine I took a few pictures around the camp ground. The park had muffins and coffee; we also got to (finally) watch an episode of Sunday Morning, the first time since we began this trip.
I used the panorama feature on my phone to get this picture, the view right outside the road in front of the park.
The drive to Newberry Springs was comparatively short, so we got to have lunch when we arrived at the park--instead of on the road. The lady in charge of the office has one-year-old twins; they were having fun in the rec room when we went over later to check out the book selections.
This Santa Fe train car sits in front of the RV park. We walked through it, of course.
Looks refreshing, doesn't it? The weather wasn't too hot but it sure was windy!
