Busy day. We didn't work at the lighthouse, so I got in a load of laundry and did some more sewing on the skirt for the sink--gathered the top by zigzag stitching over dental floss--easier than making two rows of stitching and hoping that none of the threads break while trying to gather a huge length of fabric. Dental floss is lots stronger.
We always meet lots of interesting people as we take our walks around the park. Sometimes there are also interesting camping vehicles and companions!
The owner of this told me it was his Covid project. He and his wife both sleep here! Cozy
These bears were sitting at a picnic table at a different campsite two years ago when we were here!
In the tent area, what looks like a homemade popup trailer. Notice the lantern porch light.
One of the interesting people who found us today, was a woman who lives in the park. She asked Cary (I think after seeing him washing the trailer.) if he "drilled much!" She had a walking stick her brother made her, wanted a hole drilled so she could put things strung through it for decorations. He was glad to get out his drill. She brought it by later to show me she had added beads and a shell.
Another guy we talked to is traveling with his dog. He and his wife used to travel all over, but she died. He is taking her ashes to the various places they enjoyed together, as well as trying to cover all of the states they didn't see.
Tomorrow is the county fair and a book sale at the library. I think we are also planning an early supper at the Chart Room. Oh, and I will check Facebook for yard sales too!
