Cheyenne, Wyoming

Today was our windiest travel day--ever! And the wind did not quit till almost dark. On the good side, we are at a KOA (a place to which Cary swore he would he would never return) only because the folks who reserved the spot had to postpone their travel plans because of the strong winds west of here. Michelle, the woman at the check in desk, was so accommodating and friendly!
I intend to get back to these photos with information, but am totally worn out right now!

U.S. 30 was the first transcontinental highway; they started it in 1925, finished paving it in '28. Boys Scouts put up (we think) 2000 cement markers with the L symbol for Lincoln Highway. Today it pretty much follows I-80.
As we drove around town looking for the fabric shop and Goodwill Store, I took a few pictures.
Even the password for the KOA here is "cowboy" this month!

There were more decorated boots, but never a good chance to shoot them!

Cary took this while I was in the fabric store!

I had a booklet of coupons good for different places around town, including this store--$5 off a purchase of $25 or more...I never thought to use it! Rats! Well, Cary found two quarters today and a great shirt at the Goodwill Store where he got the senior discount!
