Ogallala, Nebraska

This is where we landed earlier today. Hot. Nice little RV park.

There are two teepees you can rent (not that little one, not sure what that is).

Here you can see the two tents.

Our host has a sense of humor (also).

It was really too hot to do anything except stay inside. Luckily we like to read. There is a book exchange in the lounge; I left four items and found one more.

I thought this would be the perfect occasion to get out my fabric, measure it into 11 strips, each 6.25 inches wide--in preparation for cutting 64 squares that would in turn be cut into 64 crescent shapes to make a purse. However, I discovered that I left my sewing shears at home, along with the spare rotary cutter and small ruler. If I find another fabric store (ha ha), I will definitely have to buy more!
Later it got cool enough to step outside:

We walked across the road to look at this '57 Buick Special for sale, just $2500--or, for $3000, you can get the new tires.
