Getting to Burns, Oregon

We drove through Boise.

Once we got out of town, the scenery was outstanding. However, the drive was arduous--so many hills!

I guess this was a river that ran along beside us a good part of the way...didn't find it on my little map.

The colors and textures were so impressive. I can picture this as fabric...only softer!

We finally got to our RV park. When we know where we will be from day to day we can make reservations well ahead of time. Today we were fortunate enough to get a spot, calling just three hours ahead of our arrival time.

A pretty park, everything we need. I spent at least an hour of time on the phone trying to find a spot for tomorrow. None in Bend, couldn't get into our Silverton spot a day early, nothing else really close to Salem, but finally lucked out and we won't have to stay in a Walmart, or in Ginger's front yard!

Look closely to see the small bird right before he heads into the birdhouse.
Several of these trees grow in the park.
