We went to yard sales, drove by the little local car parts swap meet--even saw a gorgeous Hupmobile--but I forgot to take my camera with me. Las Cruces has a great farmers' market. Since I have limited space in the RV fridge, I just bought okra. For lunch I sauteed it with peppers and mushrooms. Very yummy.

This is our RV park in Alamogordo. It is handy, cheap and owned by a friendly guy who has put lots of effort into it. He has a little library and rec room. Wifi was supposedly available, but I couldn't get on. For $12, it was okay!

The almonds were ripe, so the manager told me to pick all I wanted. I guess I got about 40 or 50 while Cary was at Wally's. They are pretty labor intensive to get out of their shell, but Cary did it with a big wrench.

When he got back from Wally's he had two big bags full of fresh veggies from Patty's garden: peppers, tomatoes, some gigantic carrots, onions and a few sugar snap peas. Now I really need to get busy and make some soup or something so they don't go bad. I had more stir fried for lunch today when we got to Tucumcari.

Since Wally hadn't gotten to the restaurant yet, Cary got us both in this photo. The restaurant is Casa de Suenos in Tularosa. Yummy!
