Bandon, Oregon

Susan took this picture yesterday morning of one of the bucks that come into her yard to sample bird seed. She chases them out with a broom.
Before we left for Bandon I wanted to get a picture of Susan with the purse I made her with fabric from a quilt shop in Lusk, Wyoming. She loves horses, so I thought of her as soon as I saw it.

Here is the pillow I fixed for her too. It sat on my sofa last night and really looked like it belonged here...but I will have to look for one of my own.
Susan wanted a picture of Caysi with her mom and dad, so here they are!
Lunch at the Bandon Fish Market--fish and chips, salmon and chips and a salmon salad, clam chowder. Yum!
We ladies all found things to purchase at the quilt store--no fabric though.

Some of us needed ice cream, even after sampling candy at Cranberry Sweets...

I thought we were going in here...but we finally wore ourselves out after some shopping (I bought a skirt--new, and found some vintage patterns in a thrift shop, as well as a book in the Winter River Book Store).

Cary saw the folks on this bike riding through town and took a picture when they parked it.

The lady riding in front was either reading a book or a map, but she was contributing to the pedaling process.
The Oregon coast is very windy; we are glad to be cool, but it always feels good to get back to the car and warm our bones! There was time to get some laundry done when I got back to the trailer. Thanks again to Susan for making the trip so much fun.
