People who know us know that it doesn't take long for our trailer to look like our home. I got out the sewing machine this morning to make my friend a pocket for her remote control and glasses to keep by her chair in her trailer. Notice my ironing board in the right front corner.
I got most of it done by 9:30 when we left for work, but the four layers of fabric were too thick to feed through the presser foot, so I decided to think about how to handle it when I got home.
It worked out just great andDonna is happy with the finished product. I did take this back and shorten it a few inches from what you see here.
We began work at the lighthouse with a new family. Mary and Craig and their two teenaged daughters live in Boise. They applied three years ago and knew they would not be able to start until this month. They were well prepared, are fun to be around and I know it will be great working with them. It was a four and a half hour day, as tomorrow will be (right through what would be a lunch break), but we are off the fourth and the tides will mandate closures on the 6-8, so it won't be too bad! Again we had some great visitors including a couple from Russia.
