Trip to Grants Pass

It is getting late so I will just say we took the trip on 199 to see if it was a route we could use in future trips. It proved to be just way too twisty and narrow for Cary to feel comfortable pulling the 5th wheel on it. I took some pictures and still have a little energy, so here they are.
A helicopter takes water to an Oregon fire.

You can get a pretty good idea of the fire from this huge cloud of smoke.

An old police car

This was taken closer to Crescent City on our return trip. I do not remember seeing the smoke this thick when we were on our way to Grants Pass.

I am not sure if this is the Smith River...
In Grants Pass we got fuel for $3.22 at Fred Meyer's (diesel), had lunch at a Shari's--even splurging for a piece of pie for dessert, and got some silicon sealer at Walmart. It was not as hot there as the last time we visited.
