Once again we had to wait for the tide to go out before crossing for work. But we had entertainment. The picnic table always brings wildlife to feast after (and during) family gatherings. Several peanuts were scattered at our feet, so Mr. Seagull (who must have wonderful eyesight) very carefully picked up every one. Some one had left an unopened bag of peanuts on the bench next to me. The seagull hopped up, grabbed the bag and scurried a few yards away where he proceeded to peck at the bag until it opened. Then he took it in his beak and shook it till all the nuts spread around him. He ate all of them, pecked at the bag some more and finally came back to where we were sitting because he had missed two pieces of nuts by our feet. So funny.
We did finally make it across, just in time in turns out. A summer camp program of kids from Portland were just finishing their tour, so we were able to help with the regular visitors. The country of the day was Argentina. Everyone was great. We made it back across just as the water was slowly coming in.
This evening Cary got our Dish working and he is currently watching Top Gun. 😀
