Karen texted me this morning, asked that we stop by to pick up a package that needed to go over to the lighthouse. When we got there she had a box of pastries from her daughter's "Lillie's Little Doughnut Shop." Yum! We saved them till after work.
Great group of folks again. Some of the folks were from a group we expect tomorrow. Apparently they are the cooks, not able to tour tomorrow. According to Google, the Clampers, as they call themselves are: Clampus Vitus – the Clampers – were gold miners and prospectors in the California gold rush days. The club grew as a parody of Masons and Oddfellows, with initiation rituals and rites that were meant to amuse and entertain with rough-housing antics and irreverent humor.
We traded off which parts of the tours we led, especially wanting Mary to rest as much as possible. I went up to the tower to get pictures. It is probably the last time I go up there--getting off the ladder and back on again requires more agility than I seem to have!
The view was worth it though.
The countries represented by some of the visitors are The Netherlands and British Columbia by way of Slovakia.
