Thursday, our 7th day already

We were in no hurry to start the day, but noisy kids upstairs gave us an early wakeup (me, not Cary, of course)! They were gone all morning and are back now, starting an hour ago. You would think even the parents would be worn out from the running around--occasionally even our dishes rattle!

Cary spoke to the guy with whom we have been communicating since deciding this vacation rental was the way to go--Alex. He told Cary that they were expecting another bed--maybe one designed for those of us who are not jolly green giants. We aren't holding our breath...it was just mentioned when Cary told him I had quite the challenge getting into it every night!

After a trip to a never-before-visited thrift store and stops at Walmart and the Grocery Outlet, we had a lunch of muffins and clam chowder. Reading on the porch, waiting to hear from friends due to arrive this afternoon.

After some chatting, we walked over to Perlita's for some yummy Mexican food, continued our talking, then walked to their motel just 800 or 900 steps from our place, and talked some more. We will see more of them tomorrow.
