A Beautiful Day

After a stop at Walmart, we drove out to the lighthouse to check the hours. It was open so we decided to walk over and introduce ourselves to the new RVers and, we thought, the keepers who we worked with last year. Our friend, Jane was at the door, limiting the numbers for the tour and telling us we could come in and help! The new keepers hadn't shown up (health issues with Kathie from last year), and they were short-handed! Wow! I actually got started in the first room, but after Jane and a few of the tourists  looked at Cary's eye (more later), we left for urgent care.

But it is such a gorgeous day to be out!

I took this picture a few days ago to show Cary what I was so concerned about. He never felt anything.
So we ended up here...

Cary got great news (filling out the "paperwork"--all on the computer--took longer than the PA looking at him). The redness in his eye is called a subconjunctival hematoma, not serious. It could be brought on by a cough or a sneeze! He doesn't need to do anything and it will just go away on its own. Everyone was very nice. We were in and out in an hour.

Time enough to stop by St. Vincent and see if they had a hack saw (no) or anything else we needed (yes)--a cellphone case and a coin purse. Yay. Back to the trailer for lunch and more work on the floor and pipes in the bathroom. No rest for Cary for a few more hours.
