Cary removed the copper from the counter extension to use on the new one; he is shaping it here. The nice thing about a park this size--you can usually find someone who has the tool you need. The guy next to us lent him the tin snips.
We went to Walmart this morning for stain and varnish (plus a few sewing tools...). I am glad the sun was out again to hasten the drying process!
I finally finished my scarf! It has 48 or 50 strips of fabric sewn to a solid backing, then those are sewn to a soft yellow fleece. A great way to use up some of my scraps!
This evening I called Jeff to see (A) how he was doing with the scorpion stings and (B) did he locate the can with the quarters?
(A) The places where he was stung only hurt when he presses on them (so he doesn't do that).
(B) no can with quarters, leading me to believe I must have them with me! Out of desperation I knelt down next to the closet and dug around in back...
and there they were! I took the can out, put it in a recently vacated bathroom cupboard and took a picture! What a relief!
(Now I can do laundry to my heart's content!)
What a beautiful scarf! You are so talented as is Cary. It must be wonderful to have such a handy husband. Am glad you found your can of coins. Our weather seems to have gone back to normal so I'm hoping it will continue to be nice when you get here.
