Putting up the finished piece...
It will be nice when the brackets arrive and I have a little more counter space. Cary did need to exchange the lacquer (he didn't take his glasses when he bought the first can). While we were out we went to some antique stores. I bought some magazines and a book. He had been wanting to go to Rumiano's, a cheese factory, so after he dropped me off at Weight Watchers, he went by there for samples (I'm guessing...)!
After lunch he decided he had to fix the vent over the kitchen. It had been put on backwards at the factory (which, by the way, would charge us $70 to turn it around if we went back to Kansas to have it done). He asked me to identify the colors of some wires before shutting off the electricity, then disconnected them without telling me I needed to know which colors went with which other colors. (He is color blind.) Luckily I have a good memory.
You can't tell, but that is Cary up there fiddling with whatever needs to be done. I am not sure he will ever be satisfied though.
I was able to find a cutting board at Walmart, and my plan had been to put it on a nearby picnic table to cut out a blouse pattern. It was just breezy enough for me to decide to just do it all inside on our bed. I hope no stray pins found their way into the covers! By the way, this is not fun or easy on the back! I can't believe I used to cut out all my patterns on the floor! I still have two more pieces to cut out but they are waiting till tomorrow or the next day.
