Cary decided some trim along the edges of the carpet would not only look better, it would protect the carpet from fraying as the slide goes in and out. He installed it yesterday. He wondered if the folks at Home Depot might call the authorities since we didn't make an appearance there today.
I am putting together 40 or so strips of fabric for a scarf. Cardboard rescued from the recycle bin at Home Depot serve as my cutting board (since I left mine at home).
Already I have filled up the space in the back corner of the trailer with computer and sewing apparatus (apparati?)! After all the strips are joined, they will be attached to a backing--
and some lemony yellow fleece. I hope to finish it and then get some use out of it while we are here.
When we arrived on July 3rd, trailers were parked on both sides of us (the campground was full). Cary took advantage of the empty spaces to get a picture of our setup.
Later we stopped at Walgreens for a prescription, The Purple Cat thrift store because they usually have great sewing supplies (not this time) and magazines--Cary got several--then to a Weight Watchers meeting. After assessing the crowd at the Chart Room restaurant, we decided we could wait till 3:30 for a late lunch. Good thing we didn't wait longer--they close at 4:00 on Tuesdays.
Surfers and swimmers alike were in the waters near the restaurant, and I know it was cold!
