More Work Around the Trailer

To install a 12-volt solenoid that will allow us (Cary) to turn the water off from the bedroom, he needs to insert wires to the basement so they can eventually be run outside.
Here he is fishing them down from inside his dresser drawer to the basement.

More of the same.

If you look closely, you can see a white coat hanger that has been stretched out (hanging on the rack over his right shoulder) for the purpose of fishing the wires from point A to point B.

In the basement of the trailer the wires will be nailed to the bottom of the bedroom floor.

These were two 30-foot rolls of wire and he used all but five feet of each.
If you have forgotten why he is doing this, or are just starting to read the blog, it is because of an earlier incident with the toilet continuing to fill after being flushed. We turn the water off when we leave during the day, and sometimes at night.

While he was doing this I cleaned out some drawers, was able to throw away or recycle lots of stuff we had been saving. The best part was I found a pattern that I thought I had lost last year! It had somehow found its way into a bottom desk drawer between a couple of notepads and souvenirs! I was afraid it was gone forever. This year I actually brought the fabric along that I bought to use specifically for this pattern, so now when the mood hits me, I am prepared.

Last night we grilled the salmon our neighbor gave us two weeks ago and ate outside. Tonight I made salmon tacos with cabbage (and a creamy citrus dressing), calabacitas, and refried beans. Yum! Lots of leftover salmon that will probably go in the freezer for another time.
