Thursday, Friday and Saturday--Too Much Fun!

I am not sure if I have any pictures of the copper pieces that Cary had used to hold the black "marshmallow" in place over the vent (we like to block out as much light as possible at night), but he decided that clear pieces of plastic were better. He found a desk organizer at the St. Vincent thrift store, cut off what he needed, cut that into four pieces, sanded them and--he is sure they are all but invisible up there now! The bottom part of the organizer is taped on the wall to hold his glasses. All for a quarter!
My purchase came from the Goodwill store in Brookings, four cute little dessert bowls with gorgeous purple iris on them. I did get a senior discount too. Yes, they are way too pretty to use.
This was one of the neatest yard sales to get to on Friday--it was way back in the woods, down a curvy one-way road.

This is it. The people had been watching us stop while I took pictures, so I felt funny getting out and taking anything closer. The prices were great and I did get some fun stuff (no pictures yet).

The weather was absolutely glorious, so we followed one of our traditions, took a thermos of coffee and some Subway sandwiches out to watch the ocean, the birds and the harbor seals (with binoculars).
Every year Seawood Village has a neighborhood sale when we are in town. Several of the homes have beautiful lilies and other flowers blooming in their yards. This is one place we went on Saturday.

There is so much gray (and even more so in winter), that they need all the color they can get!

Cary did find a bike! He exchanged the seat and has a "For Sale" sign in front of his old one here at the RV park.
Next we went to an estate sale where, for some reason, I took no pictures of anything. Cary found lots of goodies he really needed and I found a frying pan I can use, will donate the other one I have.
Later we went over to the casino to sign up for a senior card to qualify for the buffet on Tuesday! You probably know whose idea that was!
