Susan picked us up about 9:30 to go to Bandon. Our first stop, however, was at the post office so I could mail a pattern to someone in Sacramento--my third sale in my Etsy shop since we left Tucson.
Here she and I are standing in the Merritt lavender field south of Bandon. It smelled wonderful. I learned there were many varieties and colors of lavender.
Inside the garage/shop were products from lavender and bouquets of it hanging all around us. The very nice proprietor/owner has a website for ordering, of course!
You knew we had to get around to eating, and that is where we headed next, into Old Town Bandon for fish and chips. Susan and I got ours with salmon and it was delicious!
We picked a good time because the line goes out the door and seating inside is limited. I think the wind was blowing 50 mph, so outside wasn't really something we would enjoy. We did manage to find the bookstore and some other neat shops.
One of our last stops was the quilt store as we headed back to Coos Bay and North Bend. I didn't buy any fabric here, but did find some back at Leaf's Treehouse in Coos Bay--fabric and a book. Fun store!
Thanks again, Susan, for a fun-filled day. Naptime back at the trailer!
