Deadwood and Sturgis

We passed Lake Pactola on our drive to Deadwood. Lots of people out enjoying it.
Of course, there was a movie and car-themed store and museum...
The black Studebaker that you see in front is actually part of a hybrid...
part El Camino and Studebaker--Studemino.
Lots of great movie posters and old board games were also on display.
In Deadwood

Where Wild Bil Hickok was shot by Jack McCall

This picture jumped into the wrong slot! It was part of the earlier display before we got into Deadwood.
A photo of the Bullock Motel in the Information Center, of special interest to me because my great grandmother's maiden name was Bullock. This was named for Seth Bullock.

Wonderful buildings!

Cary likes these door handles.

More great buildings in town

We didn't stop in town, just had to get a picture of the hillside.

Cary was fascinated with our neighbor's rig. They are fulltimers out of Texas. He was hoping to see them take the Smart Car off the trailer toter, but they had no plans to this time. Our HitchHiker looks rather puny next to them!
