A very nice rest stop along the way. Lavender and some pretty yellow flowers--something I need to research.
This is a kind of sagebrush. The vegetation type in the area is called sagebrush steppe. The leaves on this have three points (artemesia tridentata), and it grows pretty tall. I didn't get pictures of the variety I have always thought of as sagebrush; apparently it is called sand sagebrush (artemesia filifolia?).
We were able to catch Linda at home before she and her grandson, Levi, left for Lake Tahoe to meet up with Tami and groom-to-be, Jeff (who said we could call him Batman to distinguish him from my son Jeff who is also in town for the wedding)! I got a load of laundry done too.
