Harvesters

Several of the men in the RV park here in Hardin are harvesters. Cary went over to talk to one about something totally unrelated and found out that he and 12 others here are from South Africa! The work here six months (right now waiting for the wheat to be ready), then are back in South Africa six months.
Cary wanted to go look at the big machines they use, so I am sharing his pictures.

I have to wonder, why do we need workers from South Africa? With the employment being what it is, is this type of work so specialized (I imagine it is), or are our citizens not aware of the work, or is there some other answer?
We weren't sure we would get a spot here when I called to make reservations a few days ago because the harvesters were here. When I got the return call, the owner told me they had left. So I am thinking that whatever those people harvested was another crop and they are moving on to another location to find what is ready there.
Here is a view of our 5th wheel, and to the left, some of the harvesters' work trucks andd their trailers.
