Oregon, first two days

We left Crescent City after saying good-bye to all our wonderful neighbors at Village Camper Inn. Lunch was at this picturesque spot along the coast--breathtaking views--

I made our sandwiches ahead of time and filled the thermos with coffee.

Much better than any restaurant we could have found along the way.

After getting settled in at the Mill Casino in North Bend, we called our friend Susan who told us to come by anytime, that we could chat till we felt like having supper. And she always has lots to show us. Silly me--I did not take any pictures! We have to go back...
Her brother, Mike, joined us as we dined on a salad served in Mason jars, whipped Greek yogurt with fresh berries, some sort of a chicken taquito and ice cream bars for dessert.
Her table was set with vintage linen and gorgeous floral dinnerware. Always so nice to eat in Susan's Restaurant!

Oh, I did get this shot of Cricket, who just humored me. You can tell she was not smiling!

Tuesday morning we met to drive over to Myrtle Point for a great time scouring the aisles (and nooks and crannies) of an auction house. Cary got this shot of the Logging Museum nearby.

Susan found a great cement cat for her yard, as well as a sky blue bundt pan to add to her collection for her garden (pictures will be here eventually, I promise). I found a pretty bowl that matches some dishes I already have. Cary got a new tripod.

When we got out of the store, Cary was nowhere to be found...he was down the street talking to some people in a community garden. One of them gave him this onion!

In Coquille we found some more goodies, but the best part was when "The Still of the Night" started playing--(our song)--we started dancing! The owner really enjoyed it!

Lunch in Bandon, fish and chips--Susan and I got the salmon--way more than we could eat!

As we went back to the parking lot, I had to take a picture of these three little decorated bikes. Cute.
We made our plans for tomorrow, then came back to the trailer to rest. There was a business card in our door when we got here though; a couple who owned a HitchHiker model parked down the way from us were curious about ours, the color, and so on, and we spent the rest of the afternoon looking at each other's 5th wheels and telling stories. Fun.
Cathi, Chuck and Winston!

Now I am officially worn out and still not hungry!
